I recently read a book called “The Memoirs of an Ordinary Pastor,” by D.A Carson. The book gave me a meaningful and inspiring look into the life of Reverend Tom Carson, who was described to be devout, diligent, caring and a truly personal ambassador/disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. Tom Carson was one of the pioneers of bringing Protestantism to Montreal, Canada in the 1940’s through the 1980’s. He and his wife devoted their lives to the French-Canadian community although they faced an extremely hostile reception because of their Christian beliefs. Through modeling their Christian principles, values and beliefs they were able to till the fertile soil for a great harvest in the late 1970’s and 1980’s. As I reflected on how faithful Pastor Tom Carson was, I was inspired to be the light of the world to those around me. How are you modeling the way? Are you an ambassador for Jesus Christ? It’s a challenge from a brother in Christ! Proverbs 29:25 says “The fear of man lays a snare but whoever trusts the LORD is safe.” God Bless!!
