All four Gospel writers record the feeding of the five thousand. Only Matthew 15:29-38 and Mark record the feeding of the four thousand besides women and children. The Pharisees seeking a sign and Jesus’ response have parallels in Matthew 12:38-40, 16:1-4 and Luke 11:29-32.
